I was about to give up on my Epson C80 printer. After installing new ink cartridges, the test pattern was awful. I charged the ink 2 or 3 times and it was still the same. I was about to give up, but really loved this printer so I gave it four more chances. After the 5th or 6th time the pattern started filling in and now it is perfect. I hadn't used the printer for several months and something must have gotten dried in the printheads. Anyway iti printed this picture absolutely perfect! So don't give up - clean those heads at least 7 or 8 times, after that, I suppose I would give up.
